Lucky

03/05/2024: Lucky is a 12 week old who was surrendered to our rescue after the vet heard a “very audible” heart murmur. We are so grateful to have him in rescue so we can love and provide him the care he needs. As Lucky get established with the vet, we will better know what additional care he may need.

04/09/2024 Dear Lucky - I’m sorry. I’m sorry I had so much hope that we’d be able to have your heart procedure tomorrow. I’m sorry that you’re too sick to have the procedure right now. I’m sorry that your echo said you have a leaky tricuspid valve. I’m sorry that your pulmonary valve is stenosed. I’m sorry that your foramen ovale never closed. I’m sorry that we have to continue your beta blocker and just hope your pulmonary valve grows as you do. I’m sorry I can’t give you a prognosis. I’m sorry you’ll still be tired. I’m sorry that you’re not able to be the active puppy you were supposed to be. We’ll go back for another follow up in three months to see if you’re stronger.
