Please welcome Asher to DFW French Bulldog Rescue! Asher and his brother, Onyx, were surrendered after the two weren't getting along with each other in the home. Their previous family was worried they may have developed littermate syndrome. Though Onyx and Asher are both more shy and timid pups, we believe they do not need to be housed together. Asher is the more shy of the two. He came into the rescue limping and not wanting to put pressure on his front leg. We are having him seen by our vet to evaluate for a prior injury. Asher also has a lot of weight to put on. Asher is a sweet dog who wants love and attention, he just isn't sure he can trust fully just yet. Asher and his foster mom are working very hard to get him used to the kennel and her not being in his site. These are moments Asher is the most vulnerable and cries for comfort. We are working closely with Asher to build his independence and socialization skills. He has been doing great with his foster friends here. With lots of work and confidence building, we know Asher will be in the right headspace to be comfortable socializing with others rather than searching for guidance. Come back to see how Asher's blossomed!
03/26/2025: Asher has been doing phenomenal with his foster sister. He has been using the doggy door all by himself and is getting better with potty training. His prior arm injury is only from soft tissue swelling from being bit, no fracture or pain at this time, he is healing well. He is filling out and is a happy dog who is ready to find his forever home!
