DFW French Bulldog Rescue was contacted by a breeder who was closing their program, welcome Aurora! Aurora came in with a corneal abrasion that is currently being treated and she is recovering from a prior history of mange. We are working on her skin, getting it less itchy and letting her hair grow back, healthy.
From her foster parents: Aurora “Rory” is a sweet, gentle yet rambunctious girl. She loves our 2 young sons but is still learning to trust older men. Rory gets along well with our 2 dogs and cat and loves following her current foster mom around the house. She occasionally gets the zoomies when feeling extra playful and is learning how to walking on a leash. We are still working on potty training but she has shown tremendous improvement since being with her foster family, especially with crate training and praise when she goes outside. With time Rory will make the perfect addition to your family. Earn her trust and she will gladly snuggle with you in your lap and paw you for extra tickles under her chin. She would do best in a home with another dog to keep her company and somebody who has time to spend with her.
12/13/2024: Aurora has been loving her foster mom, at this time even with her foster dad in the home, Aurora still clings to her foster mom. It seems as though she is more hesitant and fearful of men. She has been finding comfort with her foster mom present. Aurora has also been to the Ophthalmologist for her eyes, she does have chronic dry eye that is more advanced in her left, she will always need daily eye drops. Her allergies are controlled with Apoquel and being on a hydrolyzed diet. Aurora will need a loving family who's familiar with allergies and the potential costs that come with this prescription diet, potential cytopoint injections, and daily medication.
