Coco

 Coco is a bright, loving puppy with a whole lot of personality and an even bigger heart. She was released from a breeder due to having a cleft palate, but she hasn’t let that slow her down one bit—she’s playful, energetic, and always ready to be close to her people.

Coco is currently working through some separation anxiety and thrives on attention and companionship, so no apartments for this girl. She’s still very much a puppy, eager for connection and reassurance.

She will need a full evaluation for her cleft palate and to complete her vaccination series, and will remain on medical hold until that process is complete. At this time, she’s eating a mix of wet and dry food and doing well overall, though she can get a little distracted when she’d rather be getting love than focusing on her meals.

Coco is the kind of pup who bonds deeply and loves fully. With the right home, she’s going to grow into an incredibly devoted companion.

07/16/2026 Update:

After visiting with a specialist, Coco's cleft lip and palate are deemed cosmetic. She currently eats dry puppy kibble with ease. If any surgeries were to be recommended for Coco in the future, she would need general anesthesia with incubation to protect her airway.

Coco is a lovable, playful little girl with a heart as big as her personality. Her favorite place in the world is snuggled up in bed with her human, where she’s convinced she belongs every single night. She’s incredibly affectionate and happiest when she’s close to her people.

Coco also has a gift—one that could earn her an Oscar for Best Dramatic Performance. If she’s placed in a kennel before she’s ready, she’ll let the entire neighborhood know about it. Her enthusiastic protests could have the neighbors wondering if someone needs rescuing! The good news is that she will eventually settle down once the house is completely quiet. The less-good news is that it may take 30 minutes or more. Since being spayed and restricted to limited activity, she’s spent extra time in her kennel and has made noticeable progress. Even so, apartment or multi-family living isn’t the best fit for this vocal little lady.

She’s still polishing her potty-training skills. When you take her outside, stay with her and tell her “pee pee” or “poopy,” and she’ll usually understand the assignment. If she’s sent outside on her own, however, she may decide the mission is unclear and return indoors to “water” the carpet instead. Consistency and patience will go a long way with Coco.

Food? Yes, please! Toys? Absolutely! Coco loves to eat, loves to play, and definitely needs durable chew toys to keep her entertained. She gets along wonderfully with her foster sister, although she firmly believes that every toy should be shared… preferably by having it in Coco’s mouth. If another dog has a toy, Coco considers it a friendly invitation to borrow it immediately. She also loves a good game of chase and is always ready for some fun.

One of Coco’s most impressive talents is her living room parkour routine. Whether she’s bouncing over furniture, launching into zoomies, or showing off her athletic moves, she’s guaranteed to keep you laughing.

Coco isn’t perfect, but she’s full of love, personality, and endless entertainment. She’ll thrive with a patient family that appreciates her quirks, continues her training, and welcomes a silly, affectionate little companion into their home. In return, she’ll reward you with snuggles, laughter, and enough character to brighten every single day.
