🐾 Welcome, Ghost! 🐾
Please join us in giving a big DFW Frenchie welcome to sweet Ghost! 💙 This handsome boy recently arrived in our care and has already stolen our hearts.
Ghost was seen by our vet and diagnosed with Demodectic Mange (Demodex). While it sounds scary, it’s not contagious and he’s already receiving the treatment he needs to help his skin and coat heal. We’re so excited to watch his transformation as his hair (and confidence!) continues to grow. 🌱
We’ve also discovered that Ghost is deaf, but that hasn’t stopped him from being one of the most loving pups we’ve met. His foster mom says nothing melts her heart quite like seeing his little nub wiggle when he sees her—pure joy! 🐶💕
Like many deaf dogs, Ghost does experience some separation anxiety, but we’re working on building his confidence and giving him the structure he needs to feel secure. He’s doing great with all of his foster friends and adjusting more every day.
We’re so proud of how far he’s come already and can’t wait to watch him continue to thrive. Welcome to the good life, Ghost—you’re safe, loved, and home with us now! 🏡💛
06/25/2025: This beautiful and sweet boy is the absolute love of his foster mom's life. He is so excitable! Because he has deaf, he is overstimulated by touch - he is not a fan of being held and has not been used to collars/harnesses/leashes around his neck. It's not that he will lash out and get aggressive, he will just squirm and not understand what's going on. A family who has older and calmer children will be best for this over-stimulus. Ghost's hair is slowly growing back and his foster mom continues to loving seeing his nub wiggle, with the little amount of hair that is present. Ghost loves playing with his foster friends and loves finding Lumabones to chew on. Allergies and ear infections are important to be on the look out in his future. Are you a patient dog parent who will show Ghost how to be a dog in this bustling world?
