Please welcome Dottie to DFW French Bulldog Rescue! Dottie was a stray who is brought into a local animal shelter. After her owners never reclaimed her, we were contacted to assist with her care and finding her forever home. When Dottie came into the rescue, she had cherry eyes to both of her eyes that have since been fixed. We are still learning more about this sweet girl. We do know that she enjoys following her foster mom around the house and is slowly decompressing into her foster home. Dottie has been quiet and to herself, she hasn’t quite shown interest in her foster friends yet. We are so excited to love on her and learn more about her personality as she settles in. Welcome sweet Dottie!
03/03/2025: Dottie has come along way in the last few weeks. She is no longer the timid shy dog that came into our home, and she gains more confidence every day. She loves playing fetch with her tennis ball and running around the backyard with her foster sister. She also loves going on walks but they need to be on the shorter side as she will start panting pretty heavy after about a mile. Although I will say her favorite thing is being a couch potato. She is extremely chill and loves just hanging out, but she is also up for an adventure. She does great in the car and does good in social settings. We are still working on her potty training, but she is about 90% there. She knows when she goes out that she is supposed to pee/poop, but she is still working on alerting us when she needs to go. She also sleeps great through the night with no accidents. She is going to make some lucky family very happy she is just the sweetest little girl.
