Onyx was surrendered to DFW French Bulldog Rescue with his brother, Asher, after the two weren't getting along in the household. Their previous family was worried they may have developed littermate syndrome. Though Onyx and Asher are both more shy and timid pups, we believe they do not need to be housed together. Onyx is the more confident of the two when he is out of the kennel. He is more wanting to come up to you and wag his tail, yes you read that correctly, tail. Onyx loves getting pets from his foster mom and though likes following her around, he has been okay with exploring the house and trying to gain some independence. However, he and his foster mom are working very very hard to get him used to the kennel and her not being in his site. These are moments Onyx is the most vulnerable and cries for comfort. We are working closely with Onyx to build his independence. Onyx does have a Cherry Eye we will be removing and he has a lot of weight to put on. He has been doing fantastic with his foster friends so far and we cannot wait to watch this handsome boy blossom.
03/26/2025: Onyx has been thriving in his foster home. He has been doing fantastic with his foster sister and brothers. Onyx had has cherry eye surgery and is ready to find his forever home. He has been doing great with potty training and kennel training. Seeing his tail wag when he's happy makes our heart melt!
