Please welcome Romeo to DFW French Bulldog Rescue! Romeo was originally purchased to be used for a breeding dog. When his back legs were noticed to be weak and he was having difficulty walking, he was given to a friend who found they did not have the time to keep up with his accidents in the house. Romeo was then welcomed to rescue. Romeo has visited the vet and x-rays have ruled out IVDD. We are waiting for ortho to review his scans and make recommendations. Romeo will likely need an MRI to truly understand his deficits. Without his diaper weighing him down, Romeo walks, however, his back legs are more stiffened backward, causing him to not be as fast as his foster friends. There are even times where his back legs become so weak, he'd rather drag them around. But when he wants to get going, Romeo can move! Romeo is still a puppy who loves playing with his foster friends, chewing on toys, nibbling on fingers, and wanting as much attention as he can get. Romeo has not needed his bladder expressed. He tries his best to hold his bowel movements and urine until he reaches outside, however, accidents do happen. Romeo is so sweet and loving, we cannot be mad at his deficits. We are looking at a cost upward of $4,700 for his MRI. We hope to reach this soon to better understand how we can best care for this lovebug. Welcome sweet, Romeo!
