Turbo was surrendered to a local animal shelter and it was requested he be euthanized because the owner could no longer care for his needs. Turbo was living outside and was used for breeding. We were able to save Turbo from euthanasia. We brought him straight to our vet and unfortunately, due to his living conditions and lack of medical care prior to being surrendered, he had corneal abrasions to both of his eyes that were beyond the point of repair. This caused him heavy visual impairment to which the specialist strongly recommended a double enucleation which is to remove both of his eyes. He did also test positive for heartworms and has flea dermatitis. Sweet Turbo was able to get his double enucleation, his neuter, and got up to date on all of his vaccines. He is currently on an antibiotic for his skin infection and he will start his heartworm treatment right after. This sweet boy is adjusting to a new life but we are ensuring he takes each day at his pace. We are providing him an endless amout of love at this time. He is the sweetest soul and still somehow wants to give kisses and wiggles his tail endlessly. Check back into to see his progress!
