Please welcome Violet to DFW French Bulldog Rescue! Violet was a stray and was taken to an animal shelter. She was found to be heartworm positive and with her eye ruptured. Unfortunately with that eye unable to be saved, she required it to be surgically removed. This sweet girl is so happy and loving of people even after the lack of medical care her prior owners provided her. Violet is slowly starting to play with her foster friends and is getting more curious about toys. Her foster parents are working on her leash manners and pulling but she has been doing great heeling alongside without a leash. Violet likes to jump up to say hello and receive as many pets as she can get. Violet also came into the rescue on the thinner side so her breakfast and dinner are her most exciting parts of the day. Violet is working through not snapping at her foster friends who walk by when it’s mealtime. Understandably, with having to navigate with this new concept of just having one eye along with potentially having to fight for food. We are ensuring her that she will never be without food again. Violet is not ready to be adopted just yet, she will need treatment for her heartworms. However, Violet is available for fostering or foster to adopt in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area! Welcome sweet girl!
